Compassion in Competition

Coach David is a coach every parent hopes their child will encounter. His many years of experience as a teacher, coach, and parent are evident in how he coaches with compassion and purpose. His process is to develop skill and strategy and to show the "why" on the way to the "how". His interest in helping kids develop into skilled soccer players is only surpassed by his motivation to help them develop into skilled humans first and foremost. His coaching style is one of positive motivation. His desire for each child's individual success within the team's success is evident in the way he mentors the team as a whole while appreciating the uniqueness of each player.
I just wanted to share some thoughts about Coach Rosenblatt. My daughter, Mikeala, "Miki" Witenberg, has played with David over many seasons and during post-season. He has been an incredible force in her life and has taught her many things with respect to soccer and life experiences outside of the soccer field. She has an enormous amount of respect for David and enjoys playing on his teams. During our ride home this afternoon she reiterated that David and her have a special relationship - one of frankness and appreciation for one another. In fact she considers David as family and responds well to his constructive feedback. As Miki's Mom I am grateful that she has shared many experiences with David and hope he continues coaching because he really is good at coaching girls and needless to say they really love him.

David is a wonderful coach who brings passion, leadership and creativity to every team he coaches. He understands how to foster individual talent and grows players to be a part of one, cohesive and successful team. His impact can be felt by not only the players themselves, but also the families of the players. David is an amazing leader and mentor, sharing his expertise and bringing excitement to the game while creating a healthy environment for the players to bond and create long-lasting relationships. Thanks to coach David, soccer has been an important cornerstone for our daughter, and has taught her many life lessons.
What an incredible weekend we had! I just wanted to thank you for all of the time and energy you put into coaching our girls this season. I can tell you that something clicked with Sabrina and Amanda this year that I've not seen in years past. Before, it seemed like soccer was more of a "social" event for them but this year it was definitely about the sport. I believe that much of that is due to you. It was not just soccer skills that you taught them but also the ideals that go along with sportsmanship and competition. The personal attention you gave them during training clearly inspired them and lit the match ! I know I can speak for most of the parents when I say I appreciate all of the hard work you have done not just for our girls, but for the organization.
